Before she became known as the powerhouse Sasha D., she was just Merissa the small town girl from Seguin, Texas. Being born June 25th, the 80’s baby’s zodiac sign is the ever so sexy Cancer. The 34C-24-43 voluptuous Texas beauty has come long ways to get where she's at today based on ambition and consistency. Sasha officially has been in the industry since 2007. Living most of her time in Austin, Texas Sasha’s life long dream was to one day become a successful model. However she faced insecurities due to being one of the tallest beauties in her class, which discouraged her from pursuing modeling. In 2007 after loosing her grandmother to cancer, she began to listen to all the advice from friends and strangers, that she should not put to waste her spontaneous personality and unique beauty and should become a Model.
Her first job was working with well known and astounding photographer Derrick Brown, of D. Brown Photo, a brand name in photography. From there she flourished. She began to do more photo shoots and began to book countless gigs. While traveling and working on various self promotional campaigns, marketing herself for a big break, Sasha began to see that modeling was no longer a hobby. It was evidently clear that modeling was becoming a career option. Sasha was intrigued by the charming magical world of fashion and photography. No longer ignoring her possible star quality she kept steadfast keeping her stamina she strived to succeed, this then became her new challenge. Sasha loved being in front of the camera creating characters behind every photo and its concept. Sasha has worked hard and in a little less than three years, and she has done an array of work broadening her resume. Sasha has done gigs that range from lingerie runway, cars shows, clothing/beauty ads, music videos features, commercial ads, spokes model campaigns, web features, promotional, fashion and lifestyle etc; this is just her beginning for this 26year old Black/Creole bombshell and there is no stopping her.
Sasha’s true passion lies with the realm of the runway where she has been able to distinguish herself from the “stereotypical” model as well as create a unique above the rest image; Sasha hopes to get more print work under her belt as she reps the big state with her big cakes. Sasha is a name you’re going to want to keep an eye on because she’s hot, multi-dimensional and poised for greatness, watch as her career flourishes in 2011. Sasha has an undeniable determination to succeed and ambition to be the best! Her drive and commitment to her career prevent her from being detoured from accomplishing her goals. With her focus now on modeling she’s now an unstoppable force that will be sweeping through the industry. With her 5’10 ½ frame she will stand above the competition.
Sasha is not currently working with any company, manager and or agency at this time; she is looking to change that in the upcoming year. Modeling is just a gateway for what Sasha dreams to do, the sky is the limit. Sasha is a model with a purpose; she hopes to become a household name in the industry and is striving for much success in all her future endeavors. Besides seeing her name in the bright lights, Sasha would love to travel the world, there’s so much to see and she’s eager to see if.
